All those people I see running in the early morning, or who have those amazing bodies that I secretly wish I had... they all started somewhere. They stopped making excuses, and they found the time to make their health a priority.

Even if its not an issue with time, we often find other excuses to hold us back. For a long time mine was that I was too fat to run! I was embarrassed to be seen with my jelly rolls and swishing boobies bouncing down the street. I kept telling myself I would eat better and lose a few pounds and THEN I would get outside and run. And since I've NEVER eaten well, I NEVER got out the door.

Then I realized I had a choice. I could sit around and feel sorry about the way I looked, or I could be embarrassed for a short time about my fleshy food storage, whilst simultaneously working it off and gaining a body that I would no longer feel sorry about!

Admittedly, It is still a trial to get out of bed and out the door EVERY morning. But when my alarm goes off at 6 am (and sometimes 5 am if that's the only free time I have) and the excuses start to flood my mind, I simply repeat to myself, "You will regret it if you don't get up! Get up! Get up! GET UP!" And then, I get out of bed and do something good for myself and my body!

So remember, a year from now you will wish you had started today. Don't wait until then to get yourself in gear. Stop allowing your excuses to rule your life and just get up and DO IT!
Running seems to be one of those natural activities we are built to do. We were designed to run, to hunt, to work, to play. There are few things more exhilarating than experiencing the freedom of a run on a brisk summer day
